Electricity – Union Fenosa
It’s called Union Fenosa, but when you write your check it will be made out to Edemet-Edechi or just Edechi. To get to the office, turn off the main road, just south of downtown, before the little bridge at Panama Roasting, just before the Texaco station. Turn right and immediately bear left. Go to the corner, and turn right and it will be on your right. There’s also a bank in their building which has a larger sign than Union Fenosa. Another reference point it, it is just before the town cemetery. English is not spoken, so either bone up on your Spanish and research needed words before going, or take a Spanish speaker with you if you can’t manage on your own. You will need a copy of your electric bill to prove residency for opening most other types of accounts in Boquete. Electric bills can be paid automatically from your bank account. Be SURE to take your passport or Pensionado and your property title for your initial service hookup.
